Hello, what if I don’t have time to stay with my puppy to take him out (to pee/poo) every single hour during the day? I cannot stay home for an entire day (and I certainly can’t do this for a year because I go to school). How would I train him then? Also, how often do I need to take my puppy outside to pee/poo during the night?
    Thanks

This was a good guide. I have awful adhd and stupid words like "Positive reinforcements" just make a guide harder to follow and comprehend in this video you made it easy to understand without trying to sound smart. Props to you

Nice advices! I am beginning to train my puppy following your video but he usually poops right after eating, can I take him outside after he finishes eating or should I wait some time before taking him out. Thanks in advance!

Seems simple enought . I read some puppies get this down in one week, some even can learn to  ring a bell when they have to go.

I used crate training for my min dachshund and it worked great. Method I used was slightly different and easier. I put the dog in when I left for work. When I would get home, I would open the crate door and immediately take the dog out. You must leave the door to the crate open so that the dog gets the idea that now the entire home is his crate. After just a week or 10 days he caught on. In fact what my little dachshund would do when he needed to go use the bathroom he would either come up and nudge me if he knew that I wasn't watching him, or if we were both in the same room say like the living room he would go sit by the door and stare at me until I got up and let him out. If I didn't get up immediately he would nudge the door.

I just wish I could get my adult dog to learn, who hates going outside for any reason and loves going pee on any carpet.

My method is almost the same except when my puppy pees inside I'll rub his nose in it and spank his butt saying "No!" then take him outside and if he pees/poops outside I'll rub him and say "Good boy!".

Last Sunday I adopted an 8 week old rescue puppy. This puppy does not have the instinct of not wanting to mess in the crate. She has no issue of pooping at night and laying in it. I've moved the divider to make the crate really narrow and I've moved her last meal to 4 pm. I make sure she's pooped at least twice after before putting her in her crate at 11 pm. When I go to let her out at 1:30 she's already pooped again. Then she does it again by 4:30 am. I'm sleep deprived from all the night time baths and cleaning. What do I do?
