When the dog does not return the first try, Would you see any negative effect saying the command again and slightly raising the sensitivity until they return?

thanks for all the help here with the videos! I have a very large and nervous Vizsla that I recently rescued. He is almost disabled with fear .. Anyways I have been using a different brand collar with vibration mode only ( know you hate) always its great for on leash only walking for commands to leave dogs alone while walking by… How can I bump it up for off leash training for out at our cabin? I dont have a mini educator. Just a normal beep., vibration and shock settings… Any tips how to bump him up to low level shock for off leash? He knows the word , Come means vibration stops at this point and so far with his nervous energy this has worked FABULOUS for on leash walking. Being that he's the size of a small great dane he pulls me down over a dog. Well not anymore. He hates the vibration and no longer does that … Thanks!

This is the best video I have seen. But I mean absolutely no disrespect. However, the little boy constantly running through the video is very distracting. I know little kids want to have fun, but maybe he needs an "e-collar" to learn to sit!! LOL.

No way that collar is on shock mode. He’s fooling gullible people into believing shock collars are humane, they’re not! Second, they’re referred to as training collars. If he delivered a trained dog to the client a training collar wouldn’t be needed. Another used car salesman of a dog trainer. Sorry car sales people.

I love your videos but I can’t understand why tap the collar before the command or a mistake? Is it for their attention?

Also do you have a point in training that you feel it is a good idea to
start using the collar on boost for punishment (such as when dog chases a
rabbit)? Can this be done in the very beggining or will it sabotage the low level stim effects?

Hi could you tell us what it is you want the dog to think while you are training it? This information seems to be missing form the great majority of dog training videos and even in person sessions. Most trainers can tell me what it is the dogs they are training are thinking. To me that is just sad, they are regurgitating what they learne din training school and not even understanding it from the dog's perspective. It's niced to see you understand the importance of having the client practice as if they were the dog. Yet, you still didn't tell us or the client/Sophia what the entire message is to the dog from start to finish.
I train dogs by knowing what they are thinking and by making them thing they're training me (except with serious aggression then I ensure they know I am dominant and they are not to question my authority). It works like a charm but it isn't something I can teach to numans very easily.

My dog is consistently obedient at home; she will come when called and give attention to the handler, but she is highly reactive outside of the home. I would love to use and ecollar to help her overcome these behaviors, but I'm unclear on how to introduce it since she does respond well at home. Do I just skip ahead to pushing the button after I call her?

I have just came across your channel and first want to THANK YOU for posting all your wonderful information on how to properly use an e-collar. It has worked wonders for my beautiful german shepherd. however, with my other responds differently to it and i was really hoping you could give me some advice. my other dog takes the collar as a punishment instead of getting her attention and im doing everything exactly the same as with my other girl. for example, instead of getting her attention and her coming for her reward, she wants to run or turn the other way. its at its lowest where my other dog doesn't show any effect. i know every dog is different and handles things differently. but i even try using the vibrate or "beep" option and she just either ignores it or doesn't like it. i really believe in this method as it has worked with my other dogs in the past as well as all friends and familys dogs. could it be that she just is just not guna respond to this type of training and i should try other methods? or could there be another approach to this method with this type of situation? so far i do everything you explain in your videos. so i am hoping there could be another way to use the ecollar training. any bit of advice would be so very much appreciated. thank you so much!

i just bought a pet tech collar that has beep, vibrate, and static shock mode. vibrate and shock modes are 000-100, i had the static shock mode on 001 and put it on my leg and it felt like i was being stabbed, how am i suppose to use that on my dog to train her properly without possibly hurting her?
