Actually, this is a good method. It does take a lot of effort though. As you might find yourself opening and closing the door a lot. Going inch by inch. So get friends to help with this (knocking and ringing). Also, post a note to the outside of the door, explaining visitors that it might take some time befre the door opens, and that it might suddenly close again. People usually understand and are willing to help. Good luck!

Hey, My dog used to be really nervous whenever I had visitors, but since follow the program at onlinedogtraining.us her behaviour has changed so much, and is now really happy with other people in the house. Its the first place i check now if i need some help.

Look at the basic body language on the white dog at the start of the video! Anyone who understands stress signals will clearly see this dog is "broken" not "trained".

I agree, everybody doest want to deal with your dog just because they came to visit you. Everybody doest like dogs or want to be slobbered on.

Why did you not video tape it when your one dog used to go nuts whenever there was a knock on the door, show your training and the progress made by your dog? Show all the little steps rather than talk about it with your dogs not being interested at all. This taught me nothing.

Dogs aren't humans. Dogs are dogs, so I say you let them do whatever the fuck they want.

It sounds like you need a little WD-40 sprayed on your squeaky door.

He forgot to say "every time" at the end! It's consistency that works with any training. Would have liked to have seen someone knock on the door I bet they wouldn't have still sat there!

why do you always have to push the dogs butt down on the ground? It seems that they aren't really listening to you. IOW they don't respect you and don't see you as their leader.

This was a nice tip however I did notice that you use physical touch to get the dogs to sit. Why is that?
